Construction group: provider management and monitoring for site connectivity

How Anexum connects more than 200 sites of an Austrian construction group centrally and looks after most of them: inventory, provider management, monitoring, support and a dedicated service portal.

Customer: Austrian construction group (anonymised)

Core answer

For an Austrian construction group, Anexum looks after most of the sites: with an inventory of all managed lines and contracts, provider management, proactive monitoring, reactive support and a service portal tailored to the customer's requirements. The customer contracts with Anexum, and Anexum is its first-level support. In total, Anexum has connected more than 200 of the customer's sites centrally.

Key facts

  • Scope: more than 200 sites
  • Anexum's work: central networking of the sites, plus inventory, provider management, monitoring and support

Starting point

Anyone connecting many sites knows a typical pattern: contracts and terms are scattered, when a fault occurs it is unclear who is responsible, and nobody has a complete view of the lines. This is what provider management is for.

For the IT lead this means: without one party that holds inventory and carriers together, the knowledge stays with individual people.

What Anexum takes on

Anexum looks after most of the customer's sites and is responsible for five tasks.

  • Inventory: Anexum keeps an inventory of all managed lines and contracts.
  • Provider management: ordering, coordination with the carriers and escalation run through Anexum.
  • Proactive monitoring: the managed lines are monitored continuously.
  • Reactive support: fault reports go to Anexum and are handled there.
  • Contract and first level: the customer contracts with Anexum. Anexum is the first-level contact and escalates to the carrier where needed.

How the collaboration works

The customer contracts with Anexum, and Anexum is its first-level support. Fault reports go to Anexum; the inventory and proactive monitoring show which line is affected. Where needed, Anexum escalates to the carrier.

We check in with the customer regularly.

The boundary stays clear: network operation and fault repair sit with the carrier.

Service portal

Anexum built a service portal for the customer that is tailored to its requirements. It is not an off-the-shelf product but follows the customer's way of working and gives it its own access to the operation of its lines.

Monitoring and support work together: proactive monitoring shows the state of the lines, and reactive support builds on it when a report comes in. The customer does not have to find out first which carrier is affected before it can act.

What you can take from this

Anyone with many sites, several carriers and changing requirements needs three things: an inventory of lines and contracts, one party accountable towards the carriers, and monitoring that makes the state of the lines visible. How this looks in detail is described on our provider management page. How Anexum connects sites is described under Managed Connectivity. This reference is anonymised and describes scope and way of working, not results in figures.
