Agent workflows integrated into your systems, designed for GDPR and the EU AI Act

AI Consulting for SMEs

AI consulting by Anexum brings AI agents into your existing ERP and CRM. We survey your workflows, integrate the agents through APIs, and operate them on infrastructure in the EU. A human approves critical steps, and every action is logged.

What is AI Consulting for SMEs?

AI consulting for SMEs at Anexum means: we assess which tasks in your business are suited to AI agents, build the workflows into your existing systems, and then run them in daily operations. The basis is the Operational AI Audit, a survey of your cross-system manual work. From it comes a bounded pilot with success metrics, running on Managed Dolibarr or ABOS. The principle is prepare, then approve: the agent prepares, a human confirms, every action lands in the audit trail. Operation stays in the EU, and personal data is tokenized before any external AI call.

Service scope

  • Baseline analysis with the Operational AI Audit: survey and assessment of your cross-system manual work
  • Selection of the processes suited to AI agents, by volume, rules, and risk
  • Integration through the APIs of your existing systems, such as ERP, CRM, and email
  • Operation on Managed Dolibarr or ABOS, on infrastructure in the EU
  • Classification against GDPR, the EU AI Act, and NIS2, with PII tokenization based on Microsoft Presidio
  • Pilot with success metrics and pointers to funding programs, for example via WKO or the Vienna Business Agency

Consulting that delivers

Analysis, implementation, and operation come from one source. The result is running workflows in your systems and one contact who operates them.

Agents instead of chatbots

AI agents work inside your processes. They read and write through APIs, take over defined tasks, and request human approval before critical steps.

EU compliance considered from the start

Operation in the EU, zero data retention, and PII tokenization before any external AI call. Designed for GDPR, the EU AI Act, and the network part of NIS2, with a log as evidence.

What does Anexum do differently in AI consulting?

Anexum advises and implements. With Managed Dolibarr and ABOS we operate our own platform on which AI agents run in production. That makes the recommendation from the consulting directly verifiable: the proposed workflow is built, piloted, and operated in daily business, with human approval and a log of every action.

Does Anexum run AI in production itself?

Yes. With ANXEngine we operate our own AI system for network monitoring: it learns an expectation band per connection, detects deviations in context, and reports them with a reason. The predictive and generative stages are built and verified step by step. The same working principle, prepare, explain, approve, underlies the agent workflows we build for customers. More in the blog post on network monitoring with context instead of thresholds.

How does an AI consulting engagement work?

In three steps. First the Operational AI Audit, a survey of your cross-system manual work with an assessment by effort, rules, and risk. Then a bounded pilot with success metrics on one or two processes. Finally ongoing operation with monitoring, logging, and regular review. You decide after each step whether to continue.

Is this GDPR-compliant?

Operation runs on infrastructure in the EU. Inference happens in an EU region with zero data retention, and personal data is tokenized by a pseudonymization gateway based on Microsoft Presidio before any external AI call. A data processing agreement and, where needed, standard contractual clauses are part of it. The overall legal assessment stays with your data protection advisers.

What does the EU AI Act mean for my business?

Assistance agents fall into the transparency tier under Art. 50: every AI surface discloses that it is AI-assisted. The prepare-then-approve principle satisfies human oversight under Art. 14, and the log serves as evidence. The AI-literacy training duty under Art. 4 already applies, the transparency duties bind from 2 August 2026. High risk only arises with decisions such as hiring, credit, or biometrics, which is not intended in our projects.

Does NIS2 affect me?

NIS2 hits larger businesses and essential sectors first, but reaches SMEs through the supply chain under Art. 21 as soon as an in-scope customer is involved. In the AI consulting we classify whether and how your business is affected. The Austrian NISG 2026 is fully in force from 1 October 2026.

What does it cost to start?

The entry point is the Operational AI Audit, a bounded package with a fixed scope. It produces a prioritized plan with a pilot proposal and metrics, on which you decide. Savings are customer-specific and not guaranteed. SMEs in Austria can access funding programs for digitalization and AI depending on the province, for example via WKO or the Vienna Business Agency. We point them out in the audit.
